This course starts where you have never opened Usage Insights for Codex and ends where you can read every number it shows and explain where it comes from. Everything happens in your browser: your Codex history is read on your own computer and never uploaded.
Each lesson is short and does one job. Do them in order, or jump to the one you need.
What you will be able to do
- Open your
~/.codex/sessionsfolder, compressed sessions included, and see a dashboard of it in a minute - Read your rhythm: active days, streaks, the hours you work, and the projects and branches you spend them on
- See what Codex built: lines added and removed, commits, pull requests and how many of its patches you kept
- Track your 5-hour and weekly usage limits, your tokens and reasoning, and the models and sandbox modes you used
- List every skill, MCP server and tool Codex used, with how often and how well
- Tell whether it is working: turn times, time to first token, turn errors and command success
- Build a team dashboard from everyone's exports, and save the whole dashboard as an HTML file or a PDF
Who it is for
Anyone who uses Codex and wants to see where their time, tokens and limits go, and team leads who want adoption numbers without reading anyone's prompts. You need nothing installed: the tool is a web page.
