This course starts where you have never opened KPI Atlas and ends with a dashboard plan your team can build from: the right KPIs, each defined once, each in the chart that shows it best, with the code to calculate it.
Each lesson is short and does one job, and each ends with something you can use on Monday: a KPI you understand, a chart choice you can defend, a measure in Power BI, a spec your team agrees on.
What you will be able to do
- Find the KPIs for any part of a business in seconds, by area or by name
- Read a KPI the way an analyst does: formula, direction, benchmark and the mistakes that make it lie
- Pick the best chart for a KPI and say why
- Copy a KPI's DAX, SQL or Excel and make it work in your own model
- Collect the KPIs for a dashboard into a set, and hand your team every measure and a spec document at once
- Design a dashboard page from a starter set: what goes on top, what goes underneath, what to leave out
Who it is for
Anyone who builds or asks for reports and dashboards: analysts, BI developers, finance and operations people, and managers who want their numbers defined the same way everywhere. You need no account. For the code lessons, Power BI Desktop, a SQL database or Excel helps, but you can follow without them.
