This course starts where you have no profile README at all and ends where you know every part of Profile README Studio: layouts and blocks, themes for light and dark, widgets that keep loading, the workflow that updates your profile by itself, and the Profile Doctor.

Each lesson is short and does one job. Do them in order, or jump to the one you need.

What you will be able to do

  • Create the special repository GitHub shows on your profile, and publish a README to it
  • Build a README from a layout and blocks, editing right on the page
  • Fill it from your GitHub profile, your resume or an AI assistant, and review every change
  • Add stats cards, languages, a streak, trophies, your projects and your links
  • Make every card look right in light and dark mode, and on a phone
  • Let the studio draw every badge and card in your own repository, so none of them breaks
  • Automate your profile with one GitHub Actions workflow: your cards, a contribution snake, your latest posts
  • Score a profile with the Profile Doctor, and build a profile for a GitHub organization

Who it is for

Developers, students and job seekers who want a profile that makes a good first impression, and people who look after an organization's page. You need a GitHub account. No HTML or Markdown knowledge is needed; the later lessons explain the Markdown for those who want to edit by hand.
